Have a look around, analogue watches are rare, and if they do present on the left wris,t there is a high likelihood the right wrist is decorated with some sort of “sports performance wearable”.
Sleep scores, readiness to train, resting heart rate, HRV, and glucose levels. There are more data points available to us than ever before. But what about how your body feels? How often do we consider that? Are we even connected with that as a metric anymore?
Data is good, a good guide. It is impacted by our training but also by all areas of life. Let’s use it, but use it smartly; it should support your instinct, not replace it. If you feel good, eat and sleep well and are mentally alert, don’t let a red score on your app get in the way. You’re not training to impress your device.
