January Members of the Month

InnerFight: Stephanie Selier

Two words that describe Steph are shows up, works hard.  Week in, week out, she brings consistency, effort, and a great attitude to every session. She trains hard, listens to feedback, and is always willing to learn, truly coachable in the best way.

Deserved — congratulations, Steph!

Youth: Harrison Venter

Huge shout out to Harrison, for January's youth member of the month.

Harrison shows up to ready to work, brings great energy to every class and never backs down from a challenge. From improving his technique, to being a supportive teammate - Harrison is a great example of what our youth program is all about.

Endurance: Duncan Murray

Duncan embodies everything we stand for here at InnerFight Endurance. When we look at our brand values, there is not 1 where he falls short.

Over the last 8 years he has trusted us to prepare him for his endurance challenges and this was his longest to date. Over the course of 6 months he grafted and grinded to prepare for Arc of Attrition 100mile race. This would be his longest single event by over 70kms!

It was not the perfect block but one of Duncans strengths is honesty, and where he fell short in some areas, we made up for them in others. His overall consistency and dedication to the end goal remained.

The result was a very pleasing 35hour finish time in a race where over 60% of people dropped out.

Thank you and well done. Please take some rest and we will be ready for you when you have your next plan.

Ladies Run Club: Rani Parmar

Rani is hardworking, passionate, and courageous. This January she has started the year as she means to go on. Committing to the early mornings, asking good questions, and staying focused on her goals. As she building her fitness towards her HM she is also building excellent habits. Rani is a delight to coach and have as part of LRC. Thank you for your excellent energy, keep going!

Endurance - New Zealand: Rachel Petty

Congratulations to Rachel Petty for being our Member of the Month for January🔥

This month, Rachel has quietly been doing the hard work. She has become more efficient on the trails, especially on the uphill climbs and downhill descent’s AND Rachel has hit the big training days all the while juggling work, and having kids off over the school holidays like an absolute pro. No excuses. Just consistency and dedication.

Her last three long runs say it all:

Strong 30km+ efforts with 900–1,200m of elevation, faster average paces, smoother NGP, and higher power outputs which are all signs of an athlete who’s not just fitter, but is moving smarter and more confidently over difficult terrain.

After a tough 50km at Taupō in October, Rachel is primed and ready to line up at the Tarawera 50k in February feeling controlled, capable, and confident and right now, she’s ticking every box to do exactly that.

She has proven to herself and others what good preparation looks like: purposeful, persistent and controlled.

Rachel, we’re all so proud of the work you’re putting in and the way you continue to push your limits everyday. Bring on race day 💪🏽
