Endurance: Kevin Higgins
Kevin Higgins has had an incredible Journey with InnerFight Endurance. Rewind back to August 2022 and I had just finished an intro call with him. He wanted to start running. It’s fair to say a 5km would have been a challenge for him at this point in life. Back to present day and his journey over the 4 years we have worked together has been sublime! We have people within our community that ‘get it’ and he is one of them. He embodies our brand values of He is hardworking, hones with himself and me, embraces simplicity (most of the time), loves to smash life, always has fun and has developed solid steel mental toughness!
This month, Kevin went to Wadi Rhum and raced Ultra X Jordan. 230+kms across incredible desert terrain, eating rehydrated meals and sleeping under the stars. He took the Overall win for the event by 45mins!
Its been a pleasure to be part of his journey and be inspired by how he attacks life!
No Weakness!

LRC: Jill Gaynor
Jill returned to LRC just under 6 months ago on the quest to get back into running post having her son, William. Jill has the goal to run Burj to Burj this coming season, and despite a busy work and home life is finding the time to focus on herself, her own goals, and her health. Of course there have already been setbacks along the way; and a sprained ankle in the summer certainly tested her patience. But Jill tackled the injury head on, understood the underlying messages from the injury, and reminded herself to slow down and let herself heal properly. She is now back to hitting her 3x run sessions a week.
Well done Jill, it's great to have you part of the team, and to see your progress each week.

Endurance - New Zealand: Caree Speirs
Congratulations to Caree Speirs for being our Member of the Month for October🔥
Caree has been putting in the work as she heads into Auckland Half Marathon today fitter and stronger than ever. What makes her journey so exciting isn't just her physical progress, it's the work she's been doing between the ears.
Race day can bring its fair share of pressure, especially when you're chasing a goal and worried about letting yourself down. Many people can relate to this. Caree has been learning to recognise those unhelpful thoughts, challenge them and shift her focus back to what she can control. Being a strong athlete isn't about never feeling nervous it's more about knowing how to move forward and/or reframe when those nerves show up.
We’ve been fine tuning Caree’s race strategy, getting familiar with the course and focusing on controlling the controllables. The goal? Start smart, stay controlled and finish strong.
Caree, I’m proud of the work you're putting into becoming not just a stronger athlete, but a more confident and reflective one. Learning to back yourself, trust your training and enjoy the experience is what makes this journey so much bigger than a finish time.
Now it's time to leave the pressure at the start line and remember it's just a long run party with ya mate. Go show yourself what you're capable of 💥
