We called. The phone rang out until a crackly recorded voice instructed us to leave a message after the tone.
We then went about our days until the time came that the call was returned.
For the most part this worked just fine with both parties.
Where is voice mail in the present day? What has changed? Why the rush that has us allow the phone to ring 3 times before sending a WhatsApp which we follow up with another WhatsApp or call within a very short timeline.
Are we that desperate, unorganised or impatient?
I am just going to reinstall my voice mail and all, being well will check it once every few days.
