The InnerFight Way

You are one and you are beautiful. If you keep that concept close cool things will happen.

During our recent InnerFight Endurance performance camp I spoke around the concept of a “Global Stress Score,” a performance coaching metric that sits bang in the middle of my opening sentence above.

Stress is stress and the body is smart and consistent. It reacts to stress the same way every time it experiences it. By activating the sympathetic nervous system (fight-or-flight response). This releases cortisol, adrenaline, noradrenaline and other stress hormones.

Work, run, worry, lift, and fight. Do whatever causes you stress and the body’s reaction remains. Be thankful as it’s the reason you are alive.

Performance in all areas of life is a global mindset and therefore the concept of your global stress score is key. If work stress is high, training stress should not be. We can not burn the candle at both ends, you know this.

The faster we pay close attention to all of our stressors and align them, the faster we can unlock quality and sustainable performance.

No Weakness.
