Discipline Without Applause

Discipline is easy when visible, to you, to me, to everyone.

Beginner gains are a real thing. The needle moves fast early in most cases. That early change gets encouragement, but the spotlight soon fades, things slow down, norms have to change, the mind is tested. What is left is repetition. Can you handle it?

This is the key phase. The one where identity is exposed. Not many are around to praise your 8th consistent week or  your 8th consecutive year of stacking sessions on sessions for both the body and the mind. People get bored of hearing that you go to bed early and get up early. Trust me.

Let them be bored, be happy with the quiet, quiet discipline is the ultimate. When the attention fades the performance rises as the habits are being built, the standards are set and the system is proving to be robust.

Choose one private standard this week, hold it, enjoy it, keep it close.

No Weakness,

Marcus
