October Members of the Month

InnerFight: Genevieve Beverley

Genevieve's determination, consistency, and infectious positivity light up every session, whether she’s smashing a workout, sharing a laugh, or cheering others on.

Over the past year, she’s shown amazing growth in both strength and confidence, taking on competitions like Dirtopia, Butterfly Effect, the 2025 CrossFit Open, and, in October, a HYROX event, where she earned an impressive third place! Next up, she’s stepping out of her comfort zone again for her second Turf Games, this time in the intermediate category.

Driven and always eager to improve, Genevieve lifts everyone around her! Congratulations, Genevieve!

Youth: Ayaz Gugus

Ayaz shows up with consistency, focus, and a great attitude every session. He always gives 100%, pushing himself to get stronger and improve in every workout. Whether it’s tackling a tough WOD or cheering on his classmates, Ayaz leads by example and inspires those around him.

We’re proud of his dedication, hard work, and positive energy. Keep it up, Ayaz

Endurance: Alex Mussallam

Alex just completed something most people only dream of doing.

He finished his first 70.3 triathlon in Cascais, Portugal, only five months after running his first marathon in Paris earlier this year.

What makes Alex’s journey so impressive isn’t just the finish lines to these races, but the mindset he has developed to get him not only to the finish line but through the months of training.

Over two years ago, he was diagnosed with a hip impingement, which is something that could have easily become a reason to stop. Instead, it became the motivation to train smarter, stay consistent, and keep pushing for more.

Alex’s drive goes far beyond personal goals. His biggest reason? To show his two children, Alex & Lara, that with belief, patience, and commitment, anything is possible.

Many early mornings, tough sessions, and countless adaptations due to work, travel, and mobility, he’s shown what true endurance really looks like. Resilience, consistency, and purpose.

Alex, you have shown determination, humility, and example to your family and to those around you what being better at life is all about!

Ladies Run Club: Lynda Heywood

Lynda’s appetite to run a marathon peaked after she ran the half at Two Oceans back in April. With her main question being “do you think I can?” Since then, Lynda has been stacking consistency, and hardwork. Hitting some big training weeks through the summer and juggling international travel, working for an Australian company. Lynda’s energy is infectious and we are delighted to say that she completed her marathon this month at IFE on Tour in Austria. Well done, Lynda. No Weakness.

Endurance - Ireland: Brian Tyrrell

You’ve been relentless in your pursuit of your marathon goal, after some years, races and countries travelled, you finally sealed the deal at the Dublin Marathon this weekend.

Through the highs and lows, you never gave up, you just kept moving forward.

Congratulations on member of the month and for setting an example of what it looks like when you keep showing up!

Endurance - New Zealand: Georgia Thompson

October was a huge month for Georgia: She’s added a new discipline into her weekly sessions, stepped out of her comfort zone at our Coast to Coast training camp and has truly shown what it means to be a part of a community that uplifts others.

Doing hard things never gets easier - you just get better. The challenges that once felt impossible to you get replaced by new ones that push you again. Georgia walks the talk when it comes to this as she leans into fear, not because it’s easy, but because she embraces a beginner’s mindset, loves to learn and works relentlessly hard until a new skill becomes a strong one.

This is what it takes to grow as and athlete and as a person.

Georgia, you've absolutely leveled up this month, showing us all what happens when consistency, courage, and a killer work ethic come together. Congrats, we can’t wait to see you thrive in your summer events over the next few months, Geo!
