That pause reveals something important.
Much of who we become is simply what we practise repeatedly. (Thanks Artistole) Not occasionally, not intentionally, but daily. The behaviours we rehearse quietly become identity over time. They are us.
Practise distraction and you’ll become distracted. Practise honesty and it becomes natural. Practise effort and capability follows.
Look closely at what you repeat each day. The small habits, the standards you keep, the reactions you rehearse.
They are shaping who you are becoming.
