The aim of the RZ90 program is to BUILD athletes abilities through the fitness season and to prepare them for major competitions. The program is advanced and requires that your can complete the Crossfit benchmark workouts as RX’d to get the full benefit from the program.
The year will be split in to different development phases with he focus starting with weightlifting and gymnastic strength and shifting to a heavy conditioning bias as the year progresses. The idea of this program is to increase both weightlifting and gymnastic strength and incorporate more high skill development as to prepare athletes for competitions. A high level of cardio vascular fitness will be maintained throughout the year.
When it comes to workouts, my preference is always to follow the Crossfit mantra of ‘constant variation’, which is exactly what you will get from this program all year round.
