Tom Conway-Gordon: The Power of Patience.
Tom Conway-Gordon is a global issues and crisis communications director at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, counselling clients including adidas, Gillette and the International Tennis Federation as they negotiate the unprecedented impact of a global pandemic. Tom lived in Dubai for eight years between 2008-2016 working in automotive PR and training at InnerFight before returning to his hometown of London to write the next chapter of his career and life. He regularly shares his experiences surrounding mental health and his views have been published in online magazines, books and blogs and in a short documentary film for the mental health charity, MIND.
James Piecowye: Stay hungry & Stay Foolish
James Piecowye is an associate professor of communication at Zayed University where he has been teaching Emirarti women how to be spectacular communicators since 2000. James is the person that when you say to him he cannot do it, he isn't good enough or there is no budget you can be sure he will set out to prove you wrong. James cocurated the 1st TEDx in Dubai, was a broadcaster at DubaiEye, hosts CreativeMornings in Dubai and has taken the lead of creating the PODAHOLIKS podcast network. James truly by accident lives by the words of Steve Jobs, Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish.
Shadi Joweihan: Uninterrupted Resilience
Having ‘died’ twice on the operating table during heart stopping open heart surgery, before pushing myself to my very limits (and beyond) during my own recovery; I am proud to have ultimately transformed my own adversities into a renewed energy on living life.
