87KM in 24 hours across the training ground of the SAS!!! When one goal or challenge ends another one MUST start. As I have said before I do not have a massive bucket list of mountains I want to get through in life but I have one rule, I want to keep challenging myself mentally and physically so when my buddy Tom sent me a message a week ago asking if I wanted to run 87km in 24 hours across the Brecon Beacons in the UK on June 7th I only used two letters to reply "IN". 1 week after CrossFit regionals in Seoul, 16 flying hours apart and 8 hours of time difference added to the fact that since Transomania in Jan all of my training has been aimed at CrossFit, I have not run at all and a few other thoughts only came into my head a few days after I accepted. My response? "That will make this even more of a great thing to do." No idea what to expect! Like most people I have read about the SAS stories of training in the Brecon Beacons. Must say I am pretty pumped that I am going to see for myself what those incredible human beings go through in what is supposed to be a brutal land. What makes this challenge even more awesome for us is that we are supporting the Gulf For Good charity and will be raising funds for the construction of an orphanage just outside Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania. Would be great if you could take some time to hop over to the Just Giving page and make any size of donation that works with you. By Marcus Smith, InnerFight founder.
