Everyone knows how far you can make it by yourself. Alone, you can achieve a lot and we all know that one “lone-wolf” who made it to the next level.
When you are independent you are self-reliant and you are in control of your ship. Being independent is good, but not enough if you want to achieve greatness.
The next level is to become interdependent. Life is by nature very interdependent and by understanding this you will be able to unlock things you could never achieve alone.
Interdependence can be divided into three categories: Physical, Emotional, and Intellectual Interdependence.
When you are physically interdependent, you are on a stage which you are self-reliant, but also understand that you can accomplish way more by working together with others. Emotional interdependence means that you derive a great sense of worth within yourself, but also in need for love from others. Lastly, Intellectual independence is which you understand that if you and others put your heads together, you will accomplish things that you even at your best couldn’t achieve alone. In other words, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Listen to others, work together, cooperate, and value the difference.
And I quote, “If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go with others” – Nelson Mandela
